Instructions for Upgrading Firmware on Pioneer XMp3, Pioneer inno, Samsung Helix, Samsung Nexus, and Delphi SKYFi3 (XM2go radios)

Congratulations on your purchase of the new XM2go portable satellite radio! Your XM2go radio enables you to enjoy over 170 channels of music, news, sports, talk, and entertainment.

At XM, we are continually working to improve your listening experience and the performance of your radio. Periodically updating your XM2go radio firmware is a simple and easy way to ensure that you have all the latest features and performance enhancements available.



How to update
There are 3 basic steps to updating your XM2go firmware:

1. Downloading the Firmware Update Tool
2. Connecting to the PC
3. Installing the new firmware on the device

The following are the step-by-step instructions for updating your XM2go (you should print these for use when walking through the process):

Downloading the Firmware Update Tool:

• Click on the following URL: http://fwupdt.xmradio.com (if this does not launch your web browser, cut and paste this URL into your browser's navigation bar)
• Click on XM Firmware Update Client to download the client
• When prompted, choose "Save"
• The resulting action window allows you to choose where this file will be saved. In the "Save In" area at the top, use the drop-down arrow to select "Desktop". Click "Save" at the bottom right corner
• Once the download is complete, close your web browser

Connecting to the PC:

• Make sure your XM2go radio is connected to A/C power either by placing in the home dock or connecting the A/C adaptor directly to the unit. In the case of Nexus, the device must be in the home dock.
• Connect the small end of your USB cable to the matching port on the top of your XM2go radio or, in the case of Nexus, to the matching port on the home dock.
• Plug the large end of the USB cable into an open USB port on your PC
• You should see a "Do Not Disconnect" message on your Inno or Helix screen. On your Nexus screen you should see "Disconnect only after Safe PC Disconnect"

Installing the Firmware Upgrade:

• On your desktop, double-click on the XM Firmware Update Client icon
• Once your device has been detected, click "Start" to begin the upgrade
• Once the upgrade is complete you will see an "OK to Disconnect" message on your XM2go radio screen
• Leaving the unit in the dock, disconnect the USB cable from the unit
• Your XM2go radio will automatically install the upgrade and power cycle or "reboot"
• IMPORTANT: Do not remove the device from external power until the upgrade is complete and the unit has power cycled or "rebooted"
• Once the device has fully rebooted, your unit is ready to go!
